Brazil Riskclima Database CMIP6 BCC-CSM2-MR runs

Cataldi, Marcio et al.

Dataset Group
Summary
This dataset group provides daily climate variables from the BCC-CSM2-HR model for South America. The data cover the historical experiment from 1850 to 2014 and the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios from 2015 to 2050.

The datasets cover the domain from 56.89°S to 13.89°N and from 83.89°W to 32.11°W. Data are provided on the model’s native grid, with spectral resolution T266. No regridding, bias correction, or additional quality control was applied.

This model also includes derived atmospheric indices, namely the SACZ index, atmospheric blocking index, XHWI, and SPI, as an example of indices calculated from CMIP6 data. The same indices can be calculated for the other CMIP6 models using the official scripts available at https://github.com/lammoc-uff/cnpq-riskclima.

The datasets are distributed in NetCDF4 format, follow CF conventions, include standardized units and complete metadata.
