The period of permanent measurement was : 1st July - 31 July 2007 The operation was continuous (minimum of 1 reading per day). The rain gauge reading was taken manually in irregular intervals (once or twice a day). After each reading, the rain bucket has been emptied. The precipitation_amount given in this data set (cops_nrgd_mfcrg_precip_d) has been transformed into 10 min intervals to be comparable to the data of the optical device (see entry cops_nrgd_mforg_precip_d). In addition to the precipitation amount, a cumulative value over the whole month (July 2007) since the first reading is given. It is constant if the precipitation_amount doesn't change. The precipitation_amount is put to missing value (-9e+33) as soon as the cumulative value is noted. If needed, the time of the beginning of the rain ( with an accuracy of 10 minutes) and the intensity can be deduced with the ORG data set (see cops_nrgd_mforg_precip_d).
