This dataset contains the static fields used for the analysis of REMO2020 simulations performed with the TEB urban model. The data are provided on the 0.11° EURO-CORDEX EUR-11 rotated grid and consist of the following files and variables:
BLA_0.11deg.nc
- BLA: Land-sea mask expressed as the fraction of grid-cell area occupied by land.
FIB_0.11deg.nc
- FIB: Grid-cell mean surface elevation (m).
urban_fractions_0.11deg.nc
- GLCC: Urban area fraction derived from GLCC land-cover data.
- LANDMATE: Urban area fraction derived from the LANDMATE dataset.
- ECOSG_LCZ: Urban area fraction derived from ECOCLIMAP-SG Local Climate Zone (LCZ) data.

- FLFRA: Fraction of grid-cell area covered by lakes.
All urmask_<city>-0.11deg_urclim_masks_fx.nc files contain the same three variables:
- GLCC: UHI analysis mask derived from GLCC land-cover data (1 = urban area, 0 = surrounding rural reference area, NaN = outside the analysis region).
- LANDMATE: UHI analysis mask derived from the LANDMATE dataset (1 = urban area, 0 = surrounding rural reference area, NaN = outside the analysis region).
- ECOSG_LCZ: UHI analysis mask derived from ECOCLIMAP-SG LCZ data (1 = urban area, 0 = surrounding rural reference area, NaN = outside the analysis region).
