Water quality indicators following MSFD indicator 5 (eutrophication)

Model results are provided for different water quality indicators from IOW’s western Baltic Sea model covering the region 9.4-17.3°E and 53.6-57°N with a horizontal resolution of approx. 600m. The model results show near-surface concentrations of Winter-DIN, Winter-DIP and Summer-chlorophyll (using May to September), as well as the annual number of hypoxic and anoxic days from the deepest layer. They are from a model simulation using GETM, to which the biogeochemical model ERGOM was coupled via FABM and are part of the DAM project PrimePrevention (https://www.marextreme.de/primeprevention). All water quality indicators are related to EU-MSFD Descriptor 5 (eutrophication). They are integrated per season or year for the time span 01 Jan 2010 to 31 Dec 2022.
