Summary
This data-set represents constant (fixed) fields of the selected variables for all ENSEMBLES (http://www.ensembles-eu.org) Stream2 HADCM3C scenarios.
The list of output variables can
be found in: http://ensembles.wdc-climate.de/output-variables.
The HadCM3C model output was prepared for the ENSEMBLES experiment using
UM run ahkyp (1859-2000).
See for the initialisation in the respective HadCM3C scenario runs.
Although the model contains an interactive land/ocean carbon cycle,
anthropogenic forcings (only) were prescribed to follow observed
concentration values rather than emissions, i.e. prescribed
changes in concentrations of: CO2, CH4, N2O, CFC11, CFC12, CFC113,
HCFC22, Ozone. Sulphur-cycle emissions also provide a forcing input.
No variations were made to solar radiation and volcanic aerosols.
The output datasets are available in netCDF format.
The dataset names are composed of: centre/model acronym (METO-HC_HadCM3C);
scenario acronym (e.g. SRA1B: SRES A1B); run number (e.g. 1: run 1);
time sampling abbreviation (MM: monthly mean, DM: daily mean,
D0: daily instantaneous at 0 UTC, 12H: 12-hourly instantaneous,
6H: 6-hourly instantaneous); variable acronym [with level value] (e.g.
hur850: relative humidity, 850 hPa) -->
example: METO-HC_HadGEM2AO_20C3M_1_6H_hur850.
