Summary
Post processed value of the wind from direction in 10m altitude. Calculated according to:
WIND_DIR=( pi/2 - atan(V_10M/U_10M)) * 180/pi for U_10M < 0
WIND_DIR=(3pi/2 - atan(V_10M/U_10M)) * 180/pi for U_10M > 0
WIND_DIR=180 for U_10M = 0 and V_10M > 0
WIND_DIR=0 for U_10M = 0 and V_10M < =0
Note: WIND_DIR=0 even if there is no wind. For this parameter the transformation procedure from the rotated grid (D2) to the regular grid (D3) is bilinear interpolation (cdo genbil, cdo remap).
