NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 is intended to support climate impact assessments, risk analysis, and adaptation planning in sectors such as hydrology, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and public health. By increasing the spatial resolution of CMIP6 data, it enables more localized modeling of climate-related risks and responses and serves as a resource for climate scientists, policymakers, and practitioners seeking to understand and mitigate the impacts of climate change at regional and local scales. In addition, the NEX-GDDP-CMIP6 dataset allows decision-makers to develop more targeted adaptation strategies, contributing to enhanced resilience in the face of a changing climate. It facilitates a deeper understanding of climate-related risks at scales where adaptation actions are most effectively implemented, bridging the gap between global climate science and local climate action.
