The CLM-community provides a quality-checked ensemble of regional climate projections for Europe (EUR-12: at approx. 12 km) and for Mid Europe (MEU-3: at approx. 3 km). The regional climate model ICON-CLM was used to downscale global climate projections to 12 km for 6 global climate models and the shared socioeconomic pathway scenarios SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP3-7.0, and SSP5-8.5. In a second step, a quality checked subset of the regional climate projections of the 12 km ensemble are selected and further downscaled to 3 km using ICON-CLM. This creates an unprecedented ensemble of convection permitting climate projections for Mid Europe at high temporal and spatial resolution. The UDAG project (Updating the data basis for adaptation to climate change in Germany) provides a large part of this ensemble. The simulations are performed by the following institutions: DWD, KIT, Hereon, BTU, C2SM, FZJ, Wegener Centre, CMCC, IMGW. The supplementary data complement the ESGF-publication of the EURO-CORDEX ensemble by the CLM-community. The ICON-CLM setup was developed in the COPAT2 (Coordinated Parameter Testing, for EUR-12) and CECPI-Ger (Coordinated Evaluation of Convection Permitting Climate simulations with ICON-CLM for Germany, for MEU-3) initiatives of the CLM-community by application of objective tuning of a large number of model parameters (Geyer et al, 2026, https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2025-4726). The supplementary data complement the ESGF-publication of the EURO-CORDEX ensemble by the CLM-community.
