:comment = "This dataset was generated using CMIP5 model MIROC-ESM-CHEM as input. A combination of historical, rcp and observations datasets were used to create this ISMIP6 forcing dataset. The process took model annual “thetao”, subtracted the model climatology (annual average over model years 1995-2014), and added an observed climatology. Thermal forcing is the difference between the ocean temperature and the depth- and salinity-dependent freezing point. Fields were re-gridded to an azimuthal equal-area grid designated for ISMIP6 with 8 km resolution and extrapolated using an iterative technique into ice-shelf cavities and regions of grounded ice. Dataset prepared by Xylar Asay-Davis." ;
