:comment = "This dataset was produced using ice sheet surface runoff output from the MAR regional climate model, forced at its lateral boundaries by CMIP6 model CESM2 for SSP585. It is assumed that runoff enters the subglacial hydrologic system, delineated using present-day geometry, and is routed to the ice sheet margin. Spatially-varying runoff is summed over each marine-terminating glacier’s catchment and each grid cell within a particular catchment is filled with the summed value. The values are extrapolated by three 1-km grid cells beyond the present-day ice sheet margin. This allows ice sheet models to sample runoff at any simulated location of a glacier terminus, whether it is retreating into the catchment or advancing slightly beyond the margin." ;
