This dataset of preprocessed atmospheric circulation variables from a reforecast dataset is necessary for creating new unseen-awg weather generators and for analyzing properties of circulation analogs. The following preprocessing steps were applied to the retrieved daily reforecast data: - Data were aggregated to daily scale (original 6-hourly resolution) by taking daily means - Geopotential height at 500hPa was computed from geopotential at 500hPa - The data were regridded to the coarse resolution grid over Europe and the North Atlantic (2.5° horizontal resolution) used for computing analogs - Format and metadata were harmonized Once the zip files in this dataset are expanded, they combine to form a single .zarr archive. All partial files must be downloaded and extracted, otherwise the .zarr store will contain missing data.
