Summary
Global HAPPI Tier2 protocol data based on the ECHAM6.3 [1] AGCM developed by the MPI-M (Max Planck Institute for Meteorology).
As a complement to the HAPPI-MIP ECHAM6.3 simulations this CERA experiment includes data of
- 20 atmosphere-only simulations of the period 2006-2015 forced by strong ENSO events,
- 20 atmosphere-only simulations of 2006-2015 forced by weak ENSO events,
- 20 atmosphere-only simulations of 2106-2115 representing a climate warmer by 1.5°C than under pre-industrial conditions (1861-1880) and forced by strong ENSO events,
and
- 20 atmosphere-only simulations of 2106-2115 representing a climate warmer by 1.5°C than under pre-industrial conditions and forced by weak ENSO events.
These additional simulations are not part of the HAPPI-MIP model simulations described in Mitchell et al. (2017) [2] but aim to survey the robustness of the results of those model simulations in respect to ENSO variability.
