!!! Warning: The sea ice coverage input files used by the simulations included in this dataset_group were too large by a factor of 100. This dataset_group is not a valid contribution to the HAPPI-MIP initiative. However, all values are cut-off at an upper limit of 99% and a lower limit of 1% within the model. Though this results in too large prescribed sea ice coverage for input values below 99 and above 0.01%, these values are not unphysical. Thus, the data may be used for sensitivity studies. !!!
Future experiment representing a climate warmer by 1.5°C than under pre-industrial conditions (1861-1880) following the AMIP design.

Sea ice fraction input files were manually multiplied with 100 before read by ECHAM6.3-LR. The model needs prescribed sea ice fraction in percent but gets sea ice fraction in percent times 100. Hence far too high sea ice fractions are prescribed. Primary the high latitudes are concerned. This dataset_group is not a valid contribution to HAPPI-MIP (http://www.happimip.org/) initiative but nevertheless data can be used for further sensitivity studies.
