Summary
[ Derived from parent entry - See data hierarchy tab ]

This dataset group comprises output data of two HIRHAM–NAOSIM simulations denoted as pair P3 in the paper "On the importance to consider the cloud dependence in parameterizing the albedo of snow on sea ice" by Foth et al. (2024). The two simulations were carried out for the period 1979–2021 and solely differ in the snow albedo parameterization. One simulation used the original snow albedo parameterization by Køltzow (2007, https://doi.org/10.1029/2006JD007693), while the other used the cloud-cover-dependent snow albedo parameterization suggested by Jäkel et al. (2019, https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-13-1695-2019). Sea ice and ocean were started from rest with temperature, salinity, ice thickness, and ice concentration fields from ORAS5. Further details on the simulations are given by Foth et al. (2024).
