Dataset

Summary: Three cruises of RV Alkor were carried out in April, June and October 2000. A total of 58 radiosondes were launched from RV Alkor at intervalls of about 3 to 6 hours. Measured parameters are temperature, pressure and humidity. Wind direction and speed are calculated from GPS positioning.
The dataset consists of one archive file (.tar) which contains 58 data files, one for each sounding. The file format is 'ascii-text', the representation of measured parameters is described in the 'readme'-file inside the .tar-archive and in the 'additional_info' entry (ALKOR2000_alkor_rs_info).
